Many of our friends have good experience of dental treatment abroad. Asia or the Baltic countries are key words. Traveling to India made the decision easy. After a total scan on Internet, searching for a reliable dentist in Mumbai, we contacted Dr. Turner. The communication was both informative and easy to understand. After some discussions regarding price range for different treatments we booked our first appointment 8th January 2010.

Dr. Turner arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the hotel the day after we arrived to Mumbai. With open eyes, without x-ray copies, tired and not used to the heat we finally met the dental staff. After a short welcome new x-rays was taken followed by diagnostics. The treatment plan even included Sunday, which they normally don’t work – we felt like real VIPs.

With help from Dr. Turner’s assistant, we moved to another hotel close to Kemps Corner within walking distance from the clinic. During five intense days, with a dental condition worse than we could imagine, we got a complete teeth restoration from a highly dedicated, gentle and patient team of dentist’s. Particularly one thing that I appreciate as a cabinetmaker is Turners special care for details. Sometimes we even fell asleep during the treatment.

With four temporary crowns we left for a three-week vacation in Goa and Kerala. Meanwhile the real crowns were handmade from porcelain at the in-house dental laboratory. The plan was to return for Mumbai and replace the temporary crowns with the precision made, the day before our flight back to Sweden.

Barbro even decided to make an *implant during our stay. In Goa one of my old metal fillings were damaged during a dinner. A short mail to the clinic with this new information was immediately confirmed, and they promised to take care of the first phase of an implant and my tooth when we returned including the replacement of four crowns.

* Screws and caps are fabricated in Sweden by Nobel Biocare (State of the art) made from Titanium and the caps are CAD-CAM made by robots.

The over-all feeling is most friendly all through; both son and daughter are dentists as well working at the clinic. The family touch is most present and the atmosphere is very pleasant – not to mention the homemade lunch we had together a couple of times. We can without doubt highly recommend the Turner’s to all of you …… still wondering. With skill and modern equipment they are in the front line of dental care in India – to the fraction of cost compared to Sweden.

With a big smile we returned back home.

See you soon …..
