Today patients demand for highly esthetic restorations with minimally invasive treatment protocols and short treatment times.Immediate implant placement into extraction sockets reduces the amount of surgical interventions and allows a surgery without any incision. Immediate implant placement in combination with provisionalization of a single tooth implant in the maxillary esthetic zone have given very promising results. The main objective in modern day implantology is to maintain and support peri-implant hard and soft tissue structures and to combine long results with an esthetic outcome. Treating the gap (the jumping distance) between the implant and buccal bone walls of fresh extraction sockets improves the quantity of hard tissue at the end of the healing and the soft tissue contours.”
